We can’t control a vast number of variables… our brains couldn’t even compute these variables if we could control them… for the sake of time, energy… and ever getting anything done we must move on opportunities even when we don’t have the full picture… we’ve been made for this through evolution… the bison herd is here NOW… it’s time to hunt… yes the hunt may fail… yes the weather could be bad… yes you could get caught in a stampede… there are also a thousand other little things that could probably happen… what if you trip on a rock… throw your own spear at a fellow huntsman… it’s all possible… and to some degree you have control over whether you train for the hunt.. are prepared, are vigilant… are careful… but at a point… it’s just time to hunt.. you take care of the things you CAN take care of and the rest is human vs. life… the greater risk is not having food… which is 100% going to be the outcome if you don’t get out and hunt when the herd is HERE… timing. You don’t always control when the right time is… you simply have to sense that it is and act…
